Tip of the week

The putter is one thing but what's the biggest factor controlling your ball?

95% of your control over your putt, line wise is the angle of the clubface. Therefore it is extremely important that it is square at impact.

Below are some practice drills and aids that can greatly improve the consistency of this. As putting is such an important part of the game it really is absolutely essential that it is as good as it can be.

Putting rail trainer to keep the swing path on line, mirror to check shoulder and eye alignment plus the rail which is all about keeping the putter square at impact or the ball will fall of it.

All of the above assist in keeping the putter square at impact and so the odd practice in such an important scoring area I think can be very useful.

Swing clips

With respect to the swing clips which have been posted over the last couple of weeks it was great for me, that Louis Oosthuizen won in Australia using very similar swing technique to that shown in the newsletters. I certainly think that as he is now fully fit again that he is one to back for a major championship this year.

A past major winner and multiple European tour winner he is a fearless competitor and has no real weakness in his game.

Ladies section

New Ladies Clothing

The ladies clothing is now out on display and we have some great feedback and response to it already.

As recipients of this newsletter you will be entitled to various discounts depending on the product. It has also been really pleasing to see that a number of ladies have been having short game lessons and practicing hard even in the trying weather.

Get in touch here to book a lesson.

No Stopping Helen

I think it is also worth a mention that Helen Stone has managed to reach the finals of all the ladies winter competitions.

Mens section

Men's FootJoy clothing - now in store

The men's FootJoy clothing has just arrived and will be on display by this weekend. It is the first time that I have sold this line and hope it is received as well as I know it has been elsewhere.

Come in and take a look.

Sketchers Shoes

Finally the Skechers shoes will soon arrive and as some of you will already be aware they are extremely comfortable and are available in both men and ladies.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the newsletter and have a great week.
