Pitching
Pitching is a very important part of that. It not only keeps your score going on your poor ball striking days, but also can really allow you to go low when your game is on. Below are 3 pictures of different length arms swings to allow for a variety of yardages with each wedge you use.
Most of us carry 3 wedges now but some even have 4. The more you have, the greater power you have at the shorter end of the game. If you only carry 2 wedges it would be a good idea to think of getting another, as there will almost certainly be a large gap in this area of your game.
Practicing hard with each wedge you have and the different length swings pictured will give you huge variety of yardage and so a greater capability of dealing with all pitching situations that arise during your round. You should quickly be able to get a number of consistent yardages which are easily repeatable on the course and this may also allow you to make better lay ups when in trouble or when the course dictates you have to.
Have a great weekends golf.
